WORKTOP PAN BURN REPAIR. In this blog i will be covering the many different types of heat damage and burns to kitchen worktops. First of all Many people believe that kitchen worktops are heat resistant, they are not. Many laminated worktops become burnt easily when hot pans and items are placed on to the surface. This causes the surface to blister and burn. Burns are less common on Granite and Quartz worktop, but still leave blemishes to the surface.

This worktop that we are featuring in this blog was a Laminate worktop, speckled marble effect pattern and smooth texture. Our customer placed a large hot pan down onto the surface. The Pan caused the surface to blister in a ring, where the edges of the pan had rested on to the laminate worktop surface. All the burnt and blistered areas had to removed as to level the surface off. It is vitally important to remove all the burnt and scorched materials for any repair to be successful.
